Retrofit
Due to their solid and high quality manufacture MORA measuring machines are almost after many years of appropriate use in a very good mechanical condition. For being up to future measuring demands and for being on the newest technical state regarding electronics and software, in many cases the customer is wondering whether to buy a new measuring machine or to take a retrofit measurement of the existing machine. Economically the retrofit measurement is often the wiser decision and in most cases it is completely sufficient for contemporary measuring and for coping with the increasing quality demands. A combination of modern control technology and improved measuring software turns a many years old measuring machine to a powerful and more accurate measuring device. Often the changing circumference makes a retrofit measurement necessary.
Retrofit is including amongst others.:
• The refitting of a manual drive system to CNC mode.
• An upgrade of the measuring software.
• The exchange of the probe system.
• The connection with a contemporary control system and counters.
Customer’s advantages:
• Mostly the retrofitting of an existing measuring plant will be lower priced as the purchasing of a new machine.
• The customer will have guarantee for the changed machine parts.
• In the majority of cases there will be achieved a higher accuracy.
• Higher work pieces units are possible due to shorter measuring durations.
• More economical mode of operation and lower running costs.
• The costs for the next maintenance can be saved because the maintenance is carried out while retrofitting the machine.
• Periods of machine shutdown can be used effectively for the Retrofit measurement.
